Visiting & Check-In
What is the check-in process?
When you arrive, a staff member will greet you at the entrance and get you checked in.
First visit — You'll complete a waiver, have your photo taken for our records, and go through a quick range orientation before heading to your lane.
Return visits — Check in with staff and we'll direct you to your lane. Quick and easy.
As we build out our pro shop, check-in will move there. We'll keep you posted.
Do I need a reservation to visit?
Members have priority access but lane reservations are recommended during peak hours and weekends. You can book through the DTR app, by phone, or drop in when lanes are available.
Members: reserve your lane online. Visitors: come anytime 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, no reservation needed. After 5, text 208-559-3337 to schedule ahead so someone’s here to check you in. Bring a photo ID on your first visit.
How do I book a lane?
DTR App — The easiest way. Download and book directly from your phone. Available on Apple and Android.
Online - Book a lane on our online platform: DTR.EZFacility.com. Lanes can be booked up to 12 hours in advance.
Phone — Call us at 208-559-3337 and we'll get you squared away.
Walk In — Always welcome, lane availability permitting.
Can I visit without a membership?
Yes. A Visitor Pass is $40 per person and covers the full day. Come anytime 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, no reservation needed. After 5, text 208-559-3337 to schedule ahead.

What should I bring?
Your firearm — unloaded and cased on arrival and departure
Hearing and eye protection — required at all times on all ranges
Ammunition — all calibers welcome unless posted
Paper targets — or buy targets and ammo at check-in.
Your legal ID if it's your first visit
Is there covered shooting?
Yes — all four ranges at DTR have covered shooting. Ranges 1 -4 all have shade cover. You'll be comfortable year-round regardless of which range you're on.
Memberships
What's included with my membership?
All memberships include unlimited range access during operational hours, online lane reservations anytime, and member pricing on classes and events. New members also complete a range orientation before their first booking.
Do you offer military or law enforcement discounts?
Yes — active and veteran military, law enforcement, and fire + rescue receive 15% off all membership tiers. Valid ID required at sign-up.
You can sign up for the military, law enforcement, and fire + rescue membership in person or by calling or emailing us for the discount code to sign up online.
How do I cancel my membership?
Annual — Cancel anytime. Membership stays active through the end of your membership year and won't renew.
Monthly — Cancel anytime. Membership stays active through the end of your current billing cycle and won't renew.
I'm already a member — what happens to my current plan?
Existing members will transition to the new pricing structure when their current membership contract expires. Nothing changes until then — we'll reach out before your renewal date.
The Range
Do you have steel targets?
Yes, we provide steel targets. Personal steel is welcome once an RSO approves it. Minimum distances: rifles 50 yd, handguns 7 yd, large-caliber handguns (incl. 10mm) 10 yd, shotgun slugs 50 yd, birdshot 10 yd. No armor-piercing, steel-core, or steel shot/BBs on steel.
Can I bring my own targets?
Absolutely — and we encourage it. Paper targets only, please. Target stands and cardboard backers are provided on all ranges. We also sell paper targets at check-in if you need them.
What ranges are available to civilian members?
Members have access to book ranges 1-4, which are dedicated to them. If you have questions about which ranges are open to you, our team will help at check-in.
Do you sell ammunition or rent firearms?
Yes to both. We sell ammo and targets at check-in, and we rent firearms. Ask staff what's available when you arrive.
Are restrooms available?
Yes. DTR has two modern vault restroom facilities on the property and we take pride in keeping them clean and well-maintained.
What is the cancellation policy for lane reservations?
Reservations may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 2 hours before your scheduled time. No-shows are non-refundable and are not eligible for credit or rescheduling.
If you don’t show up for your reservation within 15 minutes we have the right to cancel it or give your reserved range to someone else.
Are shotguns allowed?
Yes, everywhere except Danskin and Owyhee. Staff will point you to the right bay at check-in.
Do I have to pick up my brass?
No. Leave it. If you want to police your brass, we appreciate it.
Passes, Guests & Minors
What's the difference between a Guest Pass and a Visitor Pass?
A Guest Pass ($20) is for someone shooting with a member. A Visitor Pass ($40) is for a non-member coming on their own. Both cover the full day.
Are minors allowed on the range?
Yes. The minimum age to shoot is 8. Kids under 16 shoot free with a member. Every shooter under 18 stays with a supervising adult the whole time.
Can I bring a guest?
Yes. Guest Passes are $20 per person for the day. Your guest shoots on your lane, with you, the whole visit. Sharpshooter members get 5 complimentary Guest Passes a year and Rangemaster members get 10. Buy passes in the member portal or at check-in.
Does my guest need a waiver?
Yes. Every Guest Pass and Visitor Pass holder signs our Visitor Waiver. It's good for one year. Send them the waiver link ahead of time and check-in goes faster.
Can my guest come back without me?
Yes, with a Visitor Pass for $40. Or they can join.
Can instructors bring students on Guest Passes?
No. Anyone in a class is a student and signs the Class Waiver.
